This morning, a photo was shared of Hollywood actor Johnny Depp alongside journalist Antonio Laje, who, in his free time, works as a private plane pilot and was responsible for bringing the actor on a flight from Uruguay. Depp’s arrival in the country caused a great stir, and speculations quickly began regarding the reasons for his visit to Argentina.
According to NOTICIAS, Johnny Depp will stay for a week in Buenos Aires to record some musical tracks at the recording studio of Jorge “Corcho” Rodríguez, known as La Roca Power Studio, located at his home in San Isidro. This visit is connected to Depp’s prior stay in Punta del Este, where he was also invited by Rodríguez and his wife Verónica Lozano to the Yellow Rose ranch, where he also watched polo matches.
The friendship between Corcho Rodríguez and Depp is said to have begun thanks to a mutual photographer, Ross Halfin, a renowned photographer of rock stars, and they met last year at the Rome and San Sebastián festivals during the premiere of the film Modi, directed by Depp.
In addition to their friendship, Depp and Rodríguez have a business connection, as Corcho is involved in the distribution of Depp’s film across Latin America. They are also collaborating on the production of a wine, with its name, label design, and packaging to be defined in the coming days.
